Sons of the Utah Pioneers
It was great meeting all of you that attended the Chapter meeting. You have a beautiful building and fantastic library. Thank you for inviting me to come speak to your chapter. It was wonderful again to meet a descendant of Joseph Bates Noble.
Please join us tomorrow (February 17, 2011) at the Sons of the Utah Pioneers Chapter meeting at the Lodge off of 3300 South in Salt Lake City. I’m looking forward to sharing the story, Joseph Smith’s Nauvoo Legion Sword, a oak casket (coffin) stick from the prophet’s oak casket and the cap and ball musket owned by Joseph Bates Noble. Hope all you members show up for this event and bring a candidate for the Chapter! It will be Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 7:00. I will meet another Joseph Bates Noble relative, perhaps there is another Noble relative that is a member of the Sons of the Pioneers. See you then!

I attended the viewing in the Sons of the Pioneer’s building & I purchased the book. I recently found that I am a Sixth Cousin by blood to the Prophet. I am 76 years old at this time.
I started out reading 10 chapters in the Book of Mormon and found that I could read the book every 24 days. Then I started reading 30 chapters a day and found I could read the entire book every 8 days.
I started doing this on March 1, 1996, some 14 years and 11 months ago. I only takes me about an hour and a half to read 30 chapters a day.
I believe my attraction to the Book of Mormon lies in the fact that I can truthfully say that my 6th Cousin dictated most of the book to another cousin by the name of Oliver Cowdery. Joseph & Oliver were cousins also.
Always,
brother Jenkins
I am now on my 560th reading of the Book of Mormon.
